Green house

On Monday last week room 18 made some green house. First we got a A4 green paper and a little square white paper and  traced to make  a window.Once we finished traced the window we showed it to Miss Lister and she cut the window out.Then we used the ruler to rule the roof and Miss Lister will cut the roof out. After that we get a plastic bag and some pinto beans from Miss Lister and some wet paper towel and cotton balls

 and put it in the bag and we decorated the green house.We go the mat to put blu tac and tape and staples and put on the window.

Migration and hibernation

I learnt what migration and hibernation means. I think it's interesting how migration is in winter that birds are flying to a other place and hibernation is the animals that not have wings eat very much food.

ILAT: Find and use speech marks (Kapa Haka)

I was learning to find speech marks and use them. It was easy to find speech marks in the book. I found the sentence in the book. The speech marks need to go to the front and the back of the sentence that whos specking.

Speed and agility

On Tuesday we went to YouthTown. I was excited to play games we played speed and agility I saw ladders, hurdles  and agility poles. When we finished speed and agility we played cat and mouse.we saw green cones and yellow cones. The yellow cones are the mouse the green cones are the cats.

Gosling nest

Today Room 18 is making a nest for the baby gosling first we get a container and a carton .we go outside to get leaves and twigs to put in our container and we put the carton in the nest and you get the egg from Miss Lister and put it into the nest.

This week is conservation week, so we are trying to protect NZ nature birds.Myna birds eat insects, fruit and really likes berry They are introduced to NZ. They Has a shiny black head and shoulders live in the north island of NZ.

frog jump multiplication

I was learning to do multiplication it was easy to do times tables but I need to keep going to get it 10 out of 10. 

Cross country race

Yesterday my class went to the cross country races and Miss Lister put us in a boys line and a girls line. I was hot and exited when I was sitting and then Miss Allen come and said "welcome parents to the cross country races and today the year 3 and 2's are racing around the school 2 times!"When I wear that I'm so exited to race the cross country races. I was waiting for the year 2's to finish and at last it wads year 3's turn to race the cross country races and room 17 when room 17 was gon room 18 went off run and Balaji

I was learning to put words together to make a new word. I used un. Un means not. It was easy because I knew what the new word was.

I was learning to make simple inferences. I read the sentences to look for clues about the job. It was easy because I knew which one it was.

 It is also important to wear your shoes when you walk outside because it stops your feet getting dirty.It stops mud getting on your feet.



I was learning to write an explanation.I know to use my ideas about each topic. It was easy to think of my reasons.

Baking ANZAC biscuits.

Today we made an ANZAC biscuit after morning tea.And the ladybird group can go on a device or play reading games or math games. Dragonflys went first to Miss Lister and Miss Wolstenholme to make the ANZAC biscuits.At the end we rolled the ANZAC biscuits and Miss Lister put it in the oven.

It is very hard to get a silver certificate. I got one today. You need to get 5 bronze ones before this and you get a bronze by getting over 1000 points a week.

Reading: talk about the plot

I was learning to talk about the plot in the story. I can find the problem. It felt tricky to talk the thing happened in the story.

I was learning to do my bonds to 20. It is easy much the number.

Spelling: short vowel sounds

I was learning to write words with short vowel sounds I can sounds the words Out It is easy to do the short 'a' sounds because it got my name in it.
